I'm excited for this weekend because my hubby is finally graduating with his MBA! I'm so proud of him. I'm thinking he's feeling the same thing as this itty bitty turtle..... ain't he so cute!

Just my TYPE Tuesday: {Typestache}

I think my FAVE stache is going to have to be "Mr. Big Caslon!" The dainty curvature & swirlyness of this typeface is design done juuuuuuuuuuuussssst right! A huge thanks to my brother for leading me to this sweet stache link. You can also purchase a copy of this here.

For Arts Sake

Over the weekend I visited a pretty cool art exhibit at The Barker Hanger located in the Santa Monica Airport. I gotta give these artists props for showcasing some really neat works of art as well as presenting some REALLY weird stuff too!

Checking out what people come up with these days & call "art" is super bizarre... But then I think to myself, "Hey I can make this too!" I just wanted to rush home & start painting or cutting paper & then gluing it all back together in an artistic way ;)

Here are some of the pieces I thought would go fantastic in my home & others... well... I'll let you decide what you think of them.

It's been a long week already. Phew! Didn't get a chance to post this yesterday.

Wanted to share this awkward use of typography... Gelatin letter forms?!? I'm not a huge fan of jello, but if I saw this in person I would probably get jiggy with it!!! Lol.

Golden Globe Faves

I'm such a sucker for watching award shows. And my fave award show of the year is always the Golden Globes. I guess I feel that since it's the first official award show of the season, these celebrities show up to the party in their ultimate best couture fashions first.

Here are a few of my top fashion picks from last nights party to get über inspired by for color, texture & design.

Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture. Loving the drama!! Sexy side slit, feminine layer detail & a train fit for a fashion princess. The soft nude pink color of the gown compliments her dewy bronzed skin perfectly.

Angelina Jolie in an Atelier Versace gown. I was drawn to her gown instantly! Maybe the peek-a-boo red enticed me. Or perhaps the art deco feel of the design of the gown. A unique cut gown for sure, but it did fit her tiny figure exquisitely.

Lastly, Miss Lea Michele. The girl with the golden voice. Man can that girl sing!! Almost brings me to tears when I hear her voice.... Nah I'm kidding, but I do admire her vocal skills! Draped & dazzling in Marchesa.... One of my fave designer duos of all time. I totally heart the gun metal color & the racy see through sequin bodice. This gown had a twist of edge & elegance. Always an inspiration for my design work.

Fantastic fashions for the start of 2012. Can't wait to see the rest of the upcoming award show gowns.

Thinking Chair

Bitchin' office chair right?!?!

Well it's all mine......... And NO I did not pay full price. Did I mention I <3 coupons & discounts. Killer deal guys. What a fantastic way to get myself all pumped up for the new year with my business & upcoming projects. The ULTIMATE thinking chair of ALL chairs. With it's crisp white leather cushioning for my bum, back & bows (hehehe elbows for short), mirror like silver chrome lining & just plain chic design I am sure to think up millions of creative ideas in this chair.

Now sitting in my fab chair, I can't help but to think up new office decor ideas to go with this elegant piece. Here are a few office decor ideas I may lean towards.

Totally diggin' the all white theme!!

Flea Finds

Over the weekend I was surprised to scoop up fab finds at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. This is a place where L.A. fashionistas, antiques & just a load of crap collide. In the midst of all the rows & rows of vendors trying to sell their collected treasures, I snapped a few pics of bizarre finds, vintage cordials, pieces I need in my house & retro furniture that I actually purchased. I can't wait to redecorate our dining/bar room !! If you live in the area, this is a must see event that happens once a month. There is something for everybody =)

Our retro furniture just got delivered today. Another project to add to my list. Time to get inspired!

Just wanted to wish all of you a Happy New Year & I hope everyone had a fab & safe holiday season. It's back to the daily grind for me & probably most of you out there. I celebrated NYE in the big apple for the first time ever & had a wonderful time. I'll blog again about my travels later. I snapped pics of some pretty cool stuff.
