We recently visited Northern California again, but this time is was because my younger brother graduated from college with his undergraduate degree. I'm so proud of him for his accomplishments. I was the designated photog for the event & captured this fun moment of him as he stood on his chair & waved back at the family.
From the East Bay area, my husband & I headed a few hours south & visited the
Monterey Bay Aquarium. Both of us are a little
obsessed with sea life, so we made a point to stop by & explore. I remember visiting this place as a kid & was so in awe of everything that I guess I never really grew out of it. The jellyfish exhibit was my fave!! If you've never been here before, it's definitely worth the long drive from SoCal.

We headed further south from Monterey Bay down to Pismo Beach. Driving down Pacific Coast Highway along the coastline was spectacular. I'll be honest, I got a little car sick as we winded down those narrow roads, but the scenery was worth it. The California Condors soared above the cliff sides & the gorgeous surf was just breath taking.
Here's a little video I took when we stopped off the highway to check out the thousands of Elephant Seal's lined up on the beach at Año Nuevo State Park in San Mateo County. The site of these large stinky beasts was crazy madness!!
